
A former journalist at NBC Radio in Washington, she moved to Manhattan and into publishing in 1989, landing a position in the publicity department at Workman, a smaller publisher which grew to great fame with its innovative packaging, expert marketing, and clever design. Two years later, she moved to Houghton Mifflin Company where she spent six years as the associate director of publicity, handling a prestigious list of nonfiction titles by authors such as Al Gore, astronaut James Lovell, Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Kidder and dozens more. In 1996, she joined Goldberg McDuffie Communications and in 2000, helped create and lead the company's new division, Goldberg McDuffie Business, where she served as Vice President and Director.
Henricks has spearheaded campaigns for some of the biggest business names in business today including Jack Welch (Jack: Straight from the Gut), Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan (Execution and Confronting Reality), Arthur Levitt Jr. (Take on the Street), Vanguard founder John Bogle (The Battle for the Soul of Capitalism), Marcus Buckingham and Curtis Coffman (First, Break All the Rules), Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton (Now, Discover Your Strengths), Maria Bartiromo (Use the News), and Patrick Lencioni (Silos, Politics, and Turf Wars). She has worked closely with a number of corporate clients including The Gallup Organization, McKinsey & Company, Mercer Consulting, Honeywell, Ernst & Young, The Boston Consulting Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Goldman Sachs, The Financial Times, and J.D. Power and Associates. In addition, she has partnered with most of the major publishers including Simon & Schuster, Random House, Currency/Doubleday, St. Martin's Press, Warner Books, Thomas Nelson, Harvard Business School Press, Yale University Press, Jossey-Bass, and Wiley. Barbara graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Radio and Television and has done graduate work in Communications at Purdue University.
She lives in Austin, Texas with her three children and commutes to New York City every month.
A poet, writer, businessman, inventor of marketing systems and a seemingly endless source of ideas and innovations, Dennis Welch joins Cave Henricks Communications after more than a decade at The Gallup Organization. There his notable accomplishments included launching Gallup's Hispanic interviewing team, inventing marketing systems for Gallup's transition into becoming a powerful consulting company, and leading Gallup's foray into faith communities. In addition to his role at Cave Henricks, Dennis is also CEO and President of Articulate, a company specializing in marketing, communications, idea development, and training. He holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Houston.
The legendary George Gallup told Dennis many years ago, "Whatever you do Dennis, be a writer," going on to call him "one of the five top writers in the company." From his early days of showing off on the school playground by spelling Antidisestablishmentarianism in the first grade, to a stint in Nashville writing and recording songs, Dennis has done just that.
The father of two grown sons, Dennis and his wife Susie live in Austin.
Sara is a publishing industry veteran who brings more than 12 years experience in book publicity to her new role at Cave Henricks Communications. She was Publicity Manager at Free Press, a division of Simon & Schuster, and has worked in the publicity departments at Dutton, Villard Books and Avalon Publishing Group.
Most recently, Sara has been working with Goldberg McDuffie Business, where she has successfully worked on projects with CEOs and other top level executives.
Over the course of her publishing career, Sara has handled the bestselling authors Joyce Carol Oates, George Will, Dorothy Allison, Dr. Phil and Eric Jerome Dickey.
In addition to working in publishing, Sara is a trained pastry chef. She lives in Dobbs Ferry, NY with her husband and two sons.
Lew Shelton Campbell brings more than 15 years of office and managerial experience to her multi-faceted role at Cave Henricks Communications.
A former trade show and political clothing company owner, she left that business and joined Maximus, administering the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for the state of Texas. She rose quickly through the company and within six months was leading a team of anywhere from six to ten staff in processing applications for children's health insurance.
Lew is currently pursuing her degree in Behavioral Sciences and lives in the Austin area with her husband Jason and their three boys.
