Melissa Connors has over 17 years of publicity experience. She joined the Cave Henricks team in 2024 following stints as Publicity Director at Fortier Public Relations and Publicity Manager at Wiley.

Melissa has represented some of the world’s most famous CEOs and Chairmen, including Eric Schmidt (Google), Jim Clifton (Gallup), Jon Clifton (Gallup), John Hennessy (Alphabet and Stanford), Howard Marks (Oaktree Capital Management), David Cote (Honeywell), Tom Golisano (Paychex), Jeff Lawson (Twilio), Johnny C. Taylor (SHRM), Ginni Rometty (IBM), Uri Levine (Waze), Bernie Marcus (Home Depot), Oscar Munoz (United Airlines), and iPod inventor and iPhone co-inventor Tony Fadell. She has also collaborated with inspiring, bestselling authors including former Apple and Google executive Kim Scott, Columbia Law Professor Alexandra Carter, Harvard Business Professor Amy C. While at Wiley, in addition to her work with authors such as Hank Greenberg, Jon Gordon, Jeffrey Hirsch, Brian Solis, Ann Handley, Pat Lencioni, and others, she acted as the publicity lead for proposals across all of Wiley’s product lines. She was also a consultant to the corporate communications team and worked to reorganize the publicity department to better serve an evolving publishing program. Before combining her passion for books and publicity, she worked at Manhattan and New Jersey-based public relation firms where she led an array of campaigns for consumer brands, B2B solutions, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.

She is a cum laude graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she studied Communications, with a focus on Public Relations and Journalism, with a minor in Political Science.

When she’s not working on books, Melissa is reading two to three books at once, switching from a hardcover to her e-reader to an audiobook from her local library. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, son, and dog, where they visit local beaches, find any excuse to listen to live music, or just hang out at home rewatching The Sopranos for the hundredth time.
